An assembly of towering oscillating fans, altered to resemble faces, sway back and forth in a rudimentary demonstration of automatism. As the fans revolve, the faces come into and fade from view, vanishing when viewed head-on. The intention is to evoke the illusion of a bustling throng or ethereal beings, while simultaneously caricaturing the onlookers. This figurative exhibit uses the elevation and motion to simulate a primitive imitation of the observer
