Conjoined lamps joined at the shade and base, sharing a cord
Siamese Lamp
1999
We often see ourselves in the objects we surround ourselves with. A lamp has a head and bottom and often projects a figurative stance. The Siamese Lamp represents a human condition applied to the inanimate object. Two lamps are joined together while sharing an organ, the cord. Operate each bulb with two independent rubber covered toggle switches.
Siamese lamp was manufactured in an addition of ten entirely in Los Angeles.
